Home Sweet Home

I am officially back on U.S. soil and it feels great.

I got home yesterday around 4:00 p.m.

The flight was terrible...11 hours of nothingness...they played 1 movie, I slept for about 30 minutes, and re-read New Moon which has to be the most depressing, worst book to ever let alone on a long plane ride. We actually arrived 30 minutes early, which was a pleasant surprise.

Like I expected, my family and I caused a scene at the airport. They had signs and balloons and my mom burst into tears when she saw me. When we got home, there were more signs and balloons everywhere. It was adorable.

We went to Outback Steakhouse for my first American dinner and it was delicious. I went to bed around 11:00 p.m. trying to get back into a normal schedule. I have to say, I'm really not jet lagged. I think it's worse GOING abroad for jet lag.

Today, I went shopping with my mom and got a bunch of cute new clothes. Oh, and last night my sister ordered a Macbook for her birthday and I get the free iPod touch that comes with it! I'm getting a little (or a lot) spoiled now that I'm home :)

This weekend I'm going down the shore with my family to hang out at the beach and see my grandparents. So exciting!

I love being at home....I actually feel clean after taking a real shower...my clothes are actually clean now. I had the best night sleep ever in my big comfy bed. I love seeing my family.

Being abroad was great, but it's good to be home.

I am so jealous that you (A) went shopping for fun new clothes and (B) that you get an iPod touch. I have been seriously lusting after one for months!

Welcome back home!

Yay! Welcome back! I felt the exact same way after coming home from Germany last summer, except I was only gone for TWO weeks, not six!!

Welcome Home!

And they really only played one movie? Most international flights I've been on give you your own tv, which has several movies to watch. That's too bad that the airline you flew didn't have that.

Jet lag is always worse going east than west, since you lose time rather than gain it.
